THE BRIDGE OF DEATHS
M.C.V. Egan
Authorhouse June 9th, 2011

1. What inspired you to become a writer?

I have always had an absolute need to communicate. When I began to study Astrology in the 1990s I realized that this was due to my birth moon in Gemini. It is in the eighth house so there I assume will always be an element of secret, occult or mystery in my writing. I always wrote, stories, very long letters; in a journal in essence you name it I wrote. A defining moment was to see that a star pattern at the time of my birth made me a communicator.

2. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

It truly was one of those things I always knew. It was more of a question as to when I would find the discipline to be a serious writer, also a bit of a search as to what type of writer.

3. What genre(s) do you write? Why do you write the stories that you write?

It may surprise you to know that I was surprised to realize that I had written a genre cross-over. The truth is that I was very surprised when The Bridge of Deaths was described as a Paranormal, Historical, Mystery, and Romance.
Once I read that it made perfect sense as it does have all those elements, but I never gave genre much of a thought. I did feel it was such a sad dark story and it needed the light of romance.

4. Where did the inspiration for your book come from?

I was so interested in my maternal grandfather’s fate. That one may well be able to use the word obsessed. I absolutely needed to know more about him as a person and why he died. The research made me very curious about all those involved although of course the bond and family tie that I have with the grandfather I never knew is stronger than my curiosity about the other men who died with him made them all important and very real to me.

5. How long did it take you to put the story together?

Did I already use the word obsession? Well I can say with all honesty 18 years. That being said it was not a full time pursuit for 18 years, I had other very time consuming some money making endeavors. The most important one being motherhood.

6. Can you share a little about your novel with us?

A blend of fact and fiction combining archives, past-life regressions, psychics and a Peruvian Shaman take you through events before and after the August 15th 1939 Crash of a British Airways LTD passenger plane.
The Bridge of Deaths was researched in several Archives in the UK, Denmark, the USA and Mexico. All such information is carefully documented and footnoted for those who wish to seek further or confirm. It was also researched through Psychics with the use of psychometry and recorded past life regression sessions with a person who wishes to remain anonymous.

7. Who is your favorite charter in your novel and why?

The book has two very distinct aspects in the fiction and the fact so it just seems logical to choose a favorite character for each.
Maggie of the fictional characters it is undoubtedly Maggie, I love how free spirited and curious she is. I also love that she is a pacifist and so ready to fall in love.
The non-fictional character is Anthony Crossley the British M.P. who died at the age of 36 years and two days. What that man accomplished and sought to accomplish leaves most lives pale in comparison. The passion to all his arguments in Parliament and my admiration for his passion was not fueled by an absolute agreement with what he stood for.
He was after all a sort of rogue conservative and I am a full-blown liberal. It was more in how knowledgeable, informed and ready to defend his views that I think politicians the world over would be able to learn a lot from Mr. Crossley.

8. What has surprised you the most about the whole processes of getting your book on the market?

This industry is going through an amazing change. Through e-books and self-publishing it has open amazing doors of opportunity and made “The BIG names” stand and take notice. I am surprised by so much daily I would not know where to begin. I feel that we are in the midst of a wonderful new era, in which so many more and more varied voices will be heard and I think that is exciting and wonderful for writers as well as readers.

9. Would you like to share what the reviewers are saying about your book?

I have learned so much from my reviews and for the most part my reviews have been so complementary. The commentary has been so varied; some saw it as a journey of self-discovery while others as a journey through history.  I have had reviewers that have become interested in exploring past lives, others in exploring hypnosis and others the historical aspect of pre WW II activity.
I thought that my intended messages of pacifism and how ‘messy’ history is was very loud and clear and it took many reviews before one or two reviewers tapped into that.
I love the tag line The Midwest Book Review gave me along with my 5 star rating ‘An unusual and most recommended read’.

10. How many books have you written?

THE BRIDGE OF DEATHS is my debut novel.

11. What are you working on next?

I am working on a novel that is far more paranormal than historical, far less documented and targeting more of an entertainment seeking reader. I have a fascinating co-author Jolie DeMarco who is a clairvoyant and a healer. It is called 4covert2overt and we hope to have it out in a few months.

12. What do you like to do for fun when you’re not writing?

I enjoy so many things. I of course love to read for fun. I really enjoy cooking. I love long walks in beautiful places and South Florida is full of them. I enjoy a wide variety of arts and crafts. Amongst my many hobbies I dabble in Astrology, Numerology, play with tarot cards and Origami. All these things accompanied by a wide variety of music of course.

13. How can readers contact you?

Interview & Contest with Lorraine Nelson Author of A Cowgirls Pride

 About Lorraine Nelson:

Lorraine Nelson is a multi-published author and lives in eastern Canada. She loves creating believable stories of romantic suspense. When not writing, you can find her reading, baking, gardening, or spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Interview Questions….

   1.       What inspired you to become a writer?

It seems like I've always written. I started out with short stories and poems in school, but didn't do much else until my children were grown. Although I did write and publish children's books and posters in the 90's, I'm happy to be writing in the adult category now.

   2.       When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

Writing for adults came about because of medical problems. I developed a bone infection in my thumb in 2008 and it had to be amputated. My day job requires the use and flexibility of both hands, and in an effort to regain that, I sat down and started typing a story. Seven weeks later, Love on the Rocks was written, edited, and ready to go, or so I thought. J I've learned a lot since then and it's gone through several revisions, but I'm happy to say that first novel is being released through Breathless Press in August.

           3.  What genre(s) do you write?   Why do you write the stories that you write?

I write mainly romantic suspense. I write what I love to read, so combining romance with a mystery is right up my alley. I love it!

               4.  Where did the inspiration for your book come from?

My latest release, A Cowgirl's Pride, is the 4th book in my Thunder Creek Ranch series with Evernight Publishing. As to inspiration? Well, the characters keep talking to me and I just keep taking notes. :)

        5.  How long did it take you to put the story together?

           About 6 weeks.

6.  Can you share a little about your novel with us?

Leah Manning grew up among so many domineering, protective males that it left her frustrated, longing for a different life. Her family couldn't, or wouldn't, understand that she needed to dance, and she'd lived away for several years. Unknowing, she'd embroiled herself in a deadly game from which there seemed no way out. Now she was home. Would they welcome her back? What if trouble followed? Most importantly, did Cal still work the ranch?

Brian Calhoun, Cal to his friends, had hated Leah when she'd left, but hated himself even more for not going after her. Now she was back and more lovely than ever. Would his adolescent love for her return, develop into something more, or die a slow death at the hands of this new Leah?

Trouble does follow Leah home, and her ex will stop at nothing—even murder—to silence her. Will the terror draw them closer together or drive them apart forever?

               7.  Who is your favorite character in your novel and why?

I love all the Mannings, but there's just something special about Leah. She's strong and determined. Leah ventured out on her own, had successes and made mistakes, but when her troubles became unbearable, she returned to the safety of the ranch and the love of her family.

                8.  Now that your book is out, describe how you feel in one sentence?

I feel great, and I'm thrilled that I've come up with another story to entertain my readers.

                 9.  What has surprised you the most about the whole processes of getting your book on the market?

The amount of self-promotion was a stunner. Marketing yourself and your writing is hard work, but so far, I enjoy it, except for the time it takes away from my writing. :)

               10.  Would you like to share what the reviewers are saying about your books?

Certainly! I've had some excellent reviews. There's nothing better than getting feedback from my readers. J A Cowgirl's Pride released on March 26th and so far there aren't any reviews. Be warned, some of the reviews contain spoilers.

Zakia and the Cowboy, Book 1:

Michelle Fayard's review Oct 20, 11 (Also posted on Amazon. 5 Stars!)
Zakia and her five-year-old twins are forced to return to the ranch of her former husband when someone starts maliciously stalking her. Zakia has never stopped loving Luke, but how will she regain his trust after having left without an explanation—and without telling him she was pregnant with their sons? Now time is running out, both for their love and Zakia’s life.

Set in the Canadian Rockies, ZAKIA AND THE COWBOY is an intense read from debut author Lorraine Nelson. The first of the Thunder Creek Ranch series, ZAKIA is a keeper, and Nelson is an author whose name readers will look forward to seeing on covers in the future, as she excels in creating memorable characters, gripping scenes and heartfelt emotions with a wow level of heat. The rich details about life on a cattle ranch are an extra bonus.

The To Be Read Pile reviews, December 2nd, 2011, Reviewer: B.H.  5 stars!
Zakia is running from a stalker. She flees for protection to her ex-husband with the surprise that she not only had his child but twins. Can they rekindle lost love or will the stalker end any hope of a good future?

The beginning was hard to continue, it was telling and the story just starts. There’s the characters, there’s the scene with no gentle ease into the book. That said, KEEP READING! It gets so much better. The growing relationship between Lucas and his twins was beautiful. Then add the flames between him and Zakia, it makes for a dynamic read. I’m not a mother and usually kids in romance novels never end well but Ms. Nelson did a fantastic job
incorporating them without smothering the steam. There was sweet and romantic. That hay scene was something special.

There are small paragraphs from the stalkers POV and they really did not work as well as they could have. He/she should have had a lot more violent and malicious thoughts to be a convincing psychopath. Some scenes were redundant, such as why she left. I must have read Zakia explaining it at least three times. If they were trimmed it would have really added to the story. Back to the stalker, halfway through I knew who it was, but I’m usually ahead of the game in these kinds of thriller books. The ending could have been flesh out and a real explosion of intensity, this just fizzled out but it was still very satisfying.

So why, do you ask, did it get 5 stars? Well, it was sweet, romantic and truly entertaining. I really enjoyed the blooming relationship between the twins, Lucas and Zakia. If you have kids I have a feeling you’ll love this book. I don't have any and I still really loved this book. I can't wait to read the next in this series!

Covert Mission: Undercover Cop, Book 2:
Monica's Review, Happily Ever After Reviews, 4 1/2 Tea Cups!

This is a passionate story where two characters come together shortly after tragedy happens at Thunder Creek Ranch. They have been friends going out on outings but never out formally. A passionate weekend is all that Sam can give but Blake is not ready to let go. Only that Sam is holding a secret that can either break their somewhat relationship or maybe get married.

Sam is a strong independent woman that has been holding her own since she was discharged from the military on medical leave. She was caught in an explosion that left her without an arm. Coming to realize that she maybe falling in love with Blake she decides to have a passionate weekend then walk away. Only that the stalker of her best friend escapes on the day he had court she realizes that she will be spending more time with Blake.

Blake knows what he wants and will do anything to have Sam. He tries to stay away from her but he misses her too much. So when she agrees to spend the weekend with him at his ranch home he is in heaven. Only his happiness is short lived because Sam is in an accident and can not remember anything. He helps her to recover but at the same time he has a job to do and people to protect. He needs to remember that not only does he need to protect his friends but he can also be in danger.

Covert Mission: Undercover Cop takes place in Thunder Creek Ranch where his best friend Luke and his wife Zakia live. The stalker that Zakia had in book one is back to finish the job that he failed to do. This time her best friend will be with her every step of the way but an accident left her with amnesia. Little by little she regains her memory but somehow during her time without memory she is still attracted to Blake. Only Blake was a gentleman and did not cross the line with her no matter what Sam did. When she regains her memory will she allow herself to be happy no matter what?

I liked that the characters in Zakia and her Cowboy were integrated into this book. I was able to see how their relationship has flourished. I was so happy for Blake when it looked like he was going to have his dream come true but all was shattered when his life was hangs by a thread. I also sympathized with Sam because she went through a lot when she was in the military with her accident and the heartache of losing people she loved. There were a couple of editing errors which confused me but not enough to keep me from finishing the story. The only problem that I had with this story was that I wanted to read how the stalker was caught and who was behind in helping him escape when he was being transported to the court. But believe me it was worth the read.

If you have not read book one of this series, Zakia and her Cowboy, I highly recommend it so you can see how it all started with the mission of finding the fugitive. Will Blake accept the secret that Sam has been keeping from him and somehow form a family in the future. Well buy this book and find out how they got their happily ever after.

Anya's Review, Coffee Time Romance, 4 cups
Sam was force to leave the Army after she lost her arm in combat. When the criminal who tried to kill her best friend, Zakia, escapes, she leaves her laundry business to help. There she gets to see her good friend and hidden desire, Blake. As the two work to protect their friends, they also realize how much they want each other.

Blake is an undercover cop trying to protect his friends and catch the bad guys, all the while wanting to explain to Sam his desire for her. As the danger they face gets closer, he must focus on the big picture or lose everything.

As the chase for the bad guys intensifies, Sam and Blake turn to each other with love, but know they must finish their mission. They also must admit their fears if they have a chance for a future together.

This is a great story that had me from the beginning. I really enjoyed the thought of a female military amputee and thought it was handled very well. Sam’s recovery was how the author pulled all facets of the story together. The dialogue was good, but the descriptions were better. Watching the couple move from friendship to lovers was wonderful, and I loved it almost as much as Sam’s growth. The sex was great and very hot, and the transition to the thrilling action scenes was enough to make me recommend the book alone. Covert Mission: Undercover Cop is a great modern western romance.

Trouble Brewing in Thunder Creek, Book 3:
Seriously Reviewed, Stacey Jo, February 12, 2012.
Story: 7/10    Presentation: 7/10    Total: 14/20
(4 Stars) Review:
In this third installment of the Thunder Creek series  we learn more about the older Mannings, Lucas and Winnie. It is a more in depth story of how they met and their life together. This continues from Zakia and The Cowboy immediately following Zakia's kidnapping and the imminent arrest of Leroy Williams.

Leroy is actually Winnie's son. A scoundrel to the highest degree, he is charged with kidnapping and currently sits in jail awaiting trial. Claiming he is innocent, Winnie believes him. A mother's love will transcend even the most damning evidence. Who could blame her?

The love she has for her son starts to put a strain on her relationship with her husband, Lucas. Though they love each other deeply, we see the turmoil they both feel and it is heart wrenching. They are both torn between protecting their children and maintaining their marriage at the same time. To say it is a difficult situation is putting it mildly. The stress eventually takes its toll, but this family will not give up. The love they share is infinite and enables them to get through anything together.

Being the second book in this series, I am glad I had the opportunity to read the first one. Though it isn't necessary to read them in order, it does help. Either way, once you arrive in Thunder Creek you won't want to leave. This family is full of hard working, hard loving, no nonsense people. Their world revolves around family and they will do anything to protect each other.

Lorraine Nelson has given us a real ranch family. She shows their humor, heart and determination in every aspect. She even manages to make you feel a bit of compassion for Leroy, and he is truly no good. Lorraine captures the true essence of a mother's love and shows us there are no boundaries to it. We have Zakia protecting her children and Winnie protecting her son, yet these women never clash. Winnie is filled with insecurity of her place in this family because of her son's crimes, but the family emphasizes she will always be accepted. It wasn't her fault, it was Leroy's. It is a wonderfully well written book from all points of view.

Come on in, put your feet up and rest a spell. Winnie loves visitors and there's always room for one more.

Interview & Contest with CHERIE DENIS

About Cherie Denis:

I was born and raised in Los Angeles until I was a teen when my family moved to Spokane, WA. I met my husband when we were seniors in high school. We married when he was a Sophomore in college and remained in Spokane until our first daughter was born. When she was six mos old we moved to Milwaukee, WI. We had a second daughter two years after moving to Milwaukee.
We lived there until we couldn't stand the snow anymore and the girls were married. We moved to Nashville, TN where we've been for many years. After my father passed away in the late l990's my mom moved in with us and the three of us have settled into a quiet routine.
I can't remember a day when I haven't had at least one book in my hand. I received my very favorite Christmas gift the year I was nine. My parents gave me the full set of "Cherry Ames, Nurse". My parents were big readers and even though my mom  is nearly ninety, she still reads at least two books a day.

INTERVIEW

1.    What inspired you to become a writer?

I had finished reading an old Harlequin novel and told my mom if this person could write and be published,  I could probably write as well as this author. She said, "Then do it!". So I started writing.

       2.   When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

I've wanted to write since I was a child. Some of the best grades I received in school were in English Lit. where we often had to write essays and short stories.

      3.  What genre(s) do you write? Why do you write the stories that you write?

I started out writing 120,000 word contemporary by hand. In case you're interested it takes nine legal pads to handwrite a novel. I wrote six of those and then I entered a short story contest and realized I did much better if I kept my stories around 20,000 words. I write erotic romance, but have written an erotic murder mystery, an erotic vampire story, and an erotic caveman series.
I have a sweet fantasy being released soon. I wrote it for my grandchildren and their mothers because neither of our daughters will read my  books.

      4.  Where did the inspiration for your inspiration come from?

I had written a story about a Succubus and realized that one of the main character's needed his own story told.

     5.  How long did it take you to put the story together?

I never keep track of how long it takes to write a story, but this one practically wrote itself. I'd guess it took about a month working 2-3 hours a day.

      6.  Can you share a little about your novel with us?

In book one: The Naughty Succubus, my hero, Rex, The Lord High Incubus goes into towns and posts   invitations to a party. At the party, Rex invites his guests to join his coven and become either a succubus or an incubus.
Despite self imposed rules, Rex discovers he has fallen in love with Carlotta (The Naughty Succubus). He lets Carlotta go on with her life as a succubus and promised himself he would forget her, but he isn't able to and sends months trying to find her.

      7.  Who is your favorite charter in your novel and why?

My favorite character is Rex. He is strong, handsome and loving. He's beautiful on the outside and beautiful in a different way on the inside.

      8.  Now that your book is getting ready to hit the stores describe how you feel in one sentence?

I can't describe the exhilaration I feel every time one of my books is released, but Lord High Incubus if the most delectable book yet.

      9.  What has surprised you the most about the whole processes of getting your book on the market?

What surprised me the most about getting a book on the market. is that there is a lot more than just writing involved. Once you finish writing you need to find a publisher which means sending out the manuscript and an intro letter - sometimes to more than one publishing house. Once accepted there are edits - sometimes as many as three edits. Picking an appropriate cover can be a little stressful, but worst of all is the waiting for the book to be released.

      10.  Would you like to share what the reviewers are saying about your book?

So far I haven't had any reviews - I'm anxiously waiting for them though.

       11.   How many books have you written?

I’ve lost count, but it's somewhere around 20 and I have at least that many started so I won't forget what I want to write about when I get to them.

       12.  What are you working on next?

Sorry, that’s a secret! But lets just say it will be even more titillating than the last!

      13.  What do you like to do for fun when you’re not writing?

When I'm not writing I love to make jewelry and of course read, read, read.

14.  How can readers contact you?

My Blog URL is:  http://authorcheriedenis.com

 BLURB

How Rex missed Carlotta. He had no business falling in love with her, but he had, and letting her go had nearly broken his heart. From the day she earned her wings and left him, every kiss he had given a woman, every woman he fucked and sucked was not the woman on his mind. It was Carlotta who should be receiving the things he was doing.
He wondered if she ever thought of him. Did she miss him? Did she desire him? Where was she? Where he had left her? Could he find her?
When the meeting was over this night, Rex was going to send Teal out to find his beautiful Carlotta and bring her back to him. He could no longer wait for her, could not suffer in silence, while the woman of his dreams played with other, lesser incubi. She was his. She was his queen.

      15.  When does your book go on sale and where can we buy it?

TRS Staying at Home Party and Blog Give-a-way

http://apexreviews.net/Submit_Your_Book.html
About Shadows of my Past: Visions of death, sorrow, and anguish are common for Desi while working with the St. Louisville Police Department as a consultant in tracking down kidnappers and murders. However, a single touch from Barcuilai and her visions were of another time and place. Why then was the man in her visions standing right in front of her in the present? Desi wasn't sure how to handle these visions of sorrow that she saw when she touched Barcuilai. They troubled her in a way that made her feel as if her very soul was being torn apart. She wanted to flee; just as much as she wanted to erase the pain from his golden eyes. Together Barcuilai and Desi could not deny the connection they felt for one another. Will Barcuilai find love once more only to lose it again when Desi becomes the target of the very serial killers she's helping the police track down or will Desi just become another shadow of his past?

Sneak Peak Inside the book:

Barcuilai arrived at Desi’s apartment moments after the sun had set. When Desi opened the door, she was wearing a white silk blouse that clung to her curves, a tight black skirt that came just above her knees and black high heels with a white strip running across her toes. For a moment he couldn’t say anything. She always looked lovely dressed in her casual clothes but to see her all dressed up, she even was more stunning. Realizing he still hadn’t said anything yet he bowed and held his hand out for her. “Desi, I must say you look ravishing tonight.” Desi placed her hand in his. She still wore the delicate white gloves. He pulled her into his arms and kissed her, breathless. Barcuilai pulled away from her, “Are you ready to see my world?” he asked.

Desi stepped out into the hallway and locked up. “Quite ready, my good sir,” she said while blushing slightly at trying to seem so lady-like when all she wanted to do was pull him into her apartment and have her way with him until she was so exhausted that neither one could leave the bed.

“Then come with me.” Barcuilai said while taking her arm in his.

“Are you going to tell me where you’re taking me?” Desi asked, smiling up at him.

“That, my dear, is a surprise.”

Desi and Barcuilai exited the apartment building just as the rain began falling. Barcuilai hailed a cab, but by the time they had gotten inside they where both a little wet. Desi’s top had almost become transparent as hunger burned in his eyes. Barcuilai told the driver where to go but he knew it would not be soon enough. He had to control his hunger for just a little longer. *

The cab pulled up outside what looked like a castle. The rain was still coming down strong, Barcuilai handed the cab driver some money then turned to Desi. “I’m sorry, my lady, but I’m afraid we're going to have to make a dash for the door or else we will be completely soaked.” He smiled devilishly.

“Are you crazy? Run in these heels?” Desi exclaimed.

“Hum, that’s a problem. I can’t have you falling and hurting yourself; that just won’t do.”

Without a word Barcuilai exited the cab and went to Desi’s side and opened the door.

“What are you doing?”

In one swift motion, he swooped Desi up into his arms and ran with her until he got her to the safety of the porch. Only then did he set her down so he could open the door. “Welcome to my home.” Barcuilai said while gesturing for her to enter before him.

Once inside Desi glanced around. The house was huge. In fact you could possibly fit her entire apartment building in his house. “Wow!” is all that she said. Barcuilai looked at Desi standing in his doorway, water dripping to create a puddle on the floor. Her shirt was completely see through, her nipples were taught against the clingy fabric. “Let’s get you upstairs to dry off before you get cold.” Barcuilai said with hunger burning in his gaze.

“Lead the way.” Desi said with a knowing smile. The tour of the house would have to wait until later. Barcuilai needed her now, and she wanted him.

As soon as they entered Barcuilai’s bedroom he couldn’t keep from touching or kissing her any longer. She looked far too sexy in wet clingy clothes. He had to have her.

Barcuilai kissed Desi with a passion that burned through her, sending heat though her entire body. This wasn’t going to be the timid love making of new lovers; no, this was primal. His kisses seemed to scorch her skin, his mouth moved down her throat nibbling at the base where her pulse beat. All the while his hands worked at unbuttoning her little white silk blouse, letting it fall to the floor.

“You’re magnificent,” he whispered against the hollow of her throat. His hands quickly went back to work removing her damp bra, throwing it alongside to the discarded blouse.

Desi stepped back from him for a moment. She undid the clasp on the back of her skirt and let it slide to the floor in a heap. She stepped out of it and stood before him in nothing more than a pair of see through red panties and her black high heels; her breast heaving with passion. Barcuilai inhaled from the striking beauty that stood before him. The sent of her arousal was in the air which served to add to his desire.

Desi started to bend down to remove her panties herself when Barcuilai stopped her. “No! Let me.” She looked at him, her lips parting in surprise as she saw the raw need swimming in his eyes. Before she could say or do anything Barcuilai’s mouth came down hard on hers stealing any words that she may have wanted to say. He pushed Desi back toward the king size bed while never breaking the kiss.

Desi felt the edge of the bed against her legs. Barcuilai broke the kiss as he pressed her down onto the soft mattress. His lips trailed a path down her body as she lay back. He took one erect nipple into his warm mouth and then the other giving each one the attention they deserved; they were a true thing of beauty. His hands moved down under her buttock and in a swift motion he removed Desi’s last piece of clothing. Standing up he looked down at her lying there on his bed with her ebony hair fanned out around her, her green eyes dazed with passion, her lips swollen from his kisses, a soft flush covered her pale skin revealing her desire, and her legs where slightly parted waiting for him to take her. She was his and it was more than he could ever have hoped or dreamed for. At last he’d found her and he could never let her go. Barcuilai reigned in his own needs as he removed his clothes. He wanted nothing more than to make love to her in a way that left no doubt in her mind what he felt for her.

Desi opened her arms in a silent invite for him to join her in the bed. Instead he knelt down pushing her legs apart and buried his face in her womanhood. Desi squirmed and moaned at the pleasure his tongue was creating. It was an exquisite touch, yet she needed something more... but couldn’t get the words out. As if he read her thoughts he slipped his finger into her while still working his magic with lips and tongue. Desi began to thrust her hips demanding more, not with words but with the actions of her body. She could feel the pressure building inside her. She thought that she would die from the pleasure he was creating inside her. Then in an instant he stopped and stood before her. Desi pushed herself up enough that she could reach out and pull him to her, kissing him with a need that she didn’t know she had. His lips tasted of her desire. She wanted to make him feel the same pleasure that he’d given her. She pushed him back on the bed, taking control. Now it was Desi’s turn to run kisses down his throat, nibbling on his neck and shoulders, then she took each nipple into her mouth and pressed it in-between her teeth lightly until he moaned in pleasure. Unsure at first, Desi took his erection into her hands and slowly slid her mouth over him. She glanced up to see the expression in his eyes. Seeing the need in his eyes she became more confident that she was doing it right. She grabbed his hand, making him hold his manhood for her while she continued to make love to him with her mouth. She made sure that he watched as she placed her hand between her own legs. She could see the flare of desire as he watched her slide her fingers into herself, building her own desire to a burning inferno. She didn’t think it could be possible but it seemed watching her he grew even harder inside the warmth of her mouth.

“No more!” Barcuilai said as if it pained him. “You’re going to make me lose control.” He growled out.

“That might be a good thing.” Desi sighed in a sexy voice as she rose up and moved over him to straddle him. Slowly she lowered herself down, letting the fullness of him penetrate deep inside her. Desi rocked slowly at first, then faster and faster as she began to lose control. The passion growing to the point of release, she could feel his fingers pressing into her hips as he helped raise her up and down with more force. In one fervor moment she screamed out in release.

About: Seraphina Donavan lives in Kentucky, where she works as a social worker by day, grad student by night and romance novelist when she should be sleeping. She also rescues strays to the point of madness.

Interview Questions…

1. What inspired you to become a writer?

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t writing. Even before I could write, my barbies had evil twin sisters and time traveled.

2. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

I had a wonderful friend, still have actually, in first grade. We’d spend recess telling one another stories.

3. What genre(s) do you write? Why do you write the stories that you write?

I write a little of everything. Erotic romance, erotica, contemporary romance, fantasy, historical, paranormal, you name it!

4. Where did the inspiration for your book come from?

I love the idea of liberation, of letting go of people’s expectations of you and living to your own standards. I think in some ways, all of my characters do that.

5. How long did it take you to put the story together?

It took me about a month to write Bad Girl Lessons. It was a very organic process.

Well, it has a very Southern flair. It’s all about a good girl who realizes that being good has not made her very happy and so she seeks out the help of the local bad boy to just eradicate her boundaries.

7. Who is your favorite charter in your novel and why?

I really love Jackson Cope. He’s so rotten and such a good time. He’s a hot guy, but with mischievous side and all that southern, good ol’ boy charm.

8. Now that your book is getting ready to hit the stores describe how you feel in one sentence?

Excited to have it out there, but scared because it’s the first time I’ve self published.

9. What has surprised you the most about the whole processes of getting your book on the market?

Just how much support is out there from readers, bloggers, other authors. It really is a wonderful, loving and supportive community.

10. Would you like to share what the reviewers are saying about your book?

I don’t have any yet! Please someone, read it and tell me what you think!

11. What are you working on next?

Another southern book, this one set in my home state of Kentucky. It’s a little darker, and I’m returning to my paranormal roots. He’s a werewolf, a result of an old family curse.

More About Bad Girl Lessons by Seraphina Donavan

Evangeline Harper has been everyone's good girl. But after being dumped at the altar by her fiancé, Evie decides it's time to stop playing by the rules and have some fun. There's only one problem... she doesn't know how. But one of her oldest friends, Jackson Cope, is just the man to teach her. Hotter than a Georgia tent revival in July, Jackson has had a starring role in every erotic fantasy Evie has ever had. Can she convince the local bad boy to help transform her from a slightly pudgy, former debutante into a wanton, sex kitten?

Jackson's been secretly in love with Evie since they were kids, but she was always off limits to the likes of him. Now she's offering him everything he's ever wanted, but only as friends with benefits. Planning to seduce her into his life on a permanent basis, he starts out with hot, steamy lessons on how to walk on the wild side. When Evie's former fiancé shows up, trying to woo her and her trust fund back to save his sorry hide from the Dixie Mafia, it's up to Jackson to protect her from danger. But who will protect him from a broken heart?

Excerpt:

Fifteen minutes later, they were walking into Evie’s apartment. While she went to shower, Jackson stripped down to his jeans and began to explore the small space. The off white walls and beige carpet weren’t exactly a decorator’s dream. Evie’s antique furni- ture and brightly upholstered couch looked out of place in the drab apartment. Heading back into the bedroom, he sat down on the edge of the bed and listened to the sound of the shower running. He wanted to join her, but then she was probably shaving her legs and doing all of those things that women pretended they didn’t have to do. Smiling, at the thought, he allowed his curiosity to get the better of him and opened the drawer to the tiny, painted nightstand. While his own contained a stash of condoms and the latest issue of Playboy, Evie’s was a treasure trove of feminine touches. A pair of earrings that she’d forgotten to remove before bed rested atop an embossed leather journal. A bottle of ex- pensive and sweet smelling lotion was also in there. He sniffed the lotion, recognizing Evie’s favorite scent.

At the back of the drawer was a little wooden box. Unable to resist the mystery, Jackson opened it and a wolfish smile spread across his face. Nestled inside the box was a small, silver vibrator. He heard the shower turn off, and quickly replaced the box, cup- ping the toy in his palm. With his most innocent expression, he waited for Evie to come out of the bathroom. He was not disappointed when he saw her. Her hair had been brushed out into loose waves, and she wore a black silk robe that only reached to her mid thighs, leaving the long expanse of her legs bare. It parted to reveal a tiny swatch of lace and made him wonder what delights were concealed beneath it.

“So where is it?” he asked.

“Where’s what?” she replied, walking around the bed. She made a great produc- tion of fluffing the many pillows there.

“Every single or dissatisfied woman’s best friend... I know you have a vibrator, Evie. I’ve yet to meet a woman who doesn’t.”

She blushed. “You’re being ridiculous.”

Reclining on the bed with his hands folded behind his head, he grinned. “You’ve got some monstrous vibrating cock hidden in your closet, don’t you? One look at it and I will feel like less of a man, right?”

She rolled her eyes heavenward. “Are you twelve? Where do these random ques- tions come from?”

Raising up on his elbows, he looked at her, and at the deep V where her robe parted as she straightened the bed clothes. Her breasts swayed beneath the silk and lace with each movement and his cock pulsed behind his fly in response. “No...that would be entirely too tacky for you. I bet you have something small, quiet, discreet...ladylike but very effective.”

The blush on her cheeks deepened and her lips firmed with disapproval, “Jack- son--”

“Show me,” he said. “Do you honestly think that I would be bothered by that? The truth is, the very idea of it turns me on.... I can just see you laying here in this bed, naked. Your creamy, white thighs spread apart and your beautiful, pink pussy just beg- ging to be touched.”

“Fine. If you want to see it, then just fine,” she said and opened the night stand drawer. When she pulled out the small inlaid wooden box and opened, she stared at it in dismay for a second before, turning back to him. “You sneaky bastard.”

He chuckled, but didn’t allow her to walk away in a huff. Grabbing her hand, he tugged her down onto the bed until she sprawled atop him, widening the gaping split at the front of her robe. In addition to the black lace he’d seen before, he now knew that the rest of the garment was pink satin. “Is this what you were looking for?” he asked, open- ing his hand to reveal the small, egg shaped toy. Flipping her onto her back, he turned it on and rolled it delicately up the inside of her thigh, until she shivered in response.

“Jackson--”

“Don’t go getting shy on me now,” he said, tugging at the ties of her robe until it parted completely. The pink satin chemise was so thin it was practically transparent. He could easily see the darker shadows of her nipples beneath. They were perfectly framed by the black lace that edged the garment. “Open your legs for me.”
